Thanks for posting, hope you catch a bunch real soon. I know what you mean about a yard full of kids, we raised 8. I feel blessed to have survived it.

Well i'm gonna post so as not to be a "lurker" lol. i love the page and check it almost daily. love getting all the reports. Might as well share. Duck season is over and the are draining all the backwater. West Dike is open and producing but anyone who has ever been there knows it changes everyday. The pumps are on at day park in decatur, so is rockhouse. best we have done is the culvert where blackwell drains into the river. I'm married with a yard full of kids so all my fishing is from 8pm till we get tired.
crabtree opened today, hope to get in there before the milfoil comes up.
there's a great report without being to detailed.
good luck to all, God bless

thanks for post, good or bad! 8 kids holy cow!
two kids is enough to keep me from fishing very much. I wish they liked it as much as i do.... what is "crabtree"
Caught a bunch of black crappie out of crabtree saturday. But not very big. Was fun though. Did catch a small pike. Haven't seen one in a number of years. Caught the one before that in the same place.
I've caught crappie before over at Rockhouse, but haven't caught any in canal that you're talking about. Hoping to spend some time this week out on the water testing my new I-pilot
crabtree slough is a cut-off area off of flint creek on the south side of 67. boats are not allowed between nov15 and march 1st . it does have a good population of crappie but can be hard to fish due to all the dead weed mats. I've had my best luck there in winter fishing from the bank during high water. never put a boat in it before but might do it this week.....
