Most everyone will be longlining.....if you find them concentrated in a small area I would then try pushing jigs to stay on them. Post again right before coming and maybe some of the guides from Weiss will give an update then.

Longlining is the best way to catch them right now. Most everyone is taking a limit. Fish have mover back out and are over the edge of the channels, I have changed back to a 1/16oz. jig head and Southern Pro Grub. .9 mph to 1.1mph seems to trigger the strike better. The quality of the fish is starting to get better. GOOD FISHING!!

We fished with Darrell Baker of Weiss Lake Crappie guides and smashed em last week. We limited out all 3 days. It was so good, it almost became a contest to see how fast we could get our limit and get off the water! Our last day we put the boat in at 7:00, and we loaded it back up at 10:30 am. Both boats with a 5 man limit in 3 1/2 hours? Are you kidding me?! Great time with a great guide!!
