I remember the closest I ever came to being skunked on a boat at Guntersville, I was with my dad and a friend crappie fishing at Whitaker in the 70s. Back then you bounced a "crappie rig" around. Well, we couldn't get a lick. Trolling motors were just coming out, but mainly folks just drifted around. My father refused to leave until we caught one fish. Finally we caught a stripe, lol. Probably folks don't have much to tell about luck-wise right now, but I bet if you do find them they're pretty locked down together in some areas. The lake is turning over, though, up here. Personally, I haven't been in a few weeks and it looks as though I won't be going this week either. Oh, and as others have said, its been really windy, too. Of course the wind is your friend, but 4 foot whitecaps a friend of mine witnessed yesterday is a little over the top.
