I caught him on Neely Henry and almost released him but the more I thought about it I just had to mount it! I know that is not popular with alot of folks but I do my fair share of releasing good fish...anybody that fishes with me will tell you that... I have caught bunches of crappie over two pounds and have had several in one day over two pounds but just never could hit that 3lb pound mark...Not ashamed of my decision to mount him.

Congrats on an awesome slab and a great catch for your fish fry. It'll look great on your wall!

I stand corrected! That is for sure a beautiful fish for Neely! The biggest I pulled from Neely was 2.98 lbs and my cutoff for a mount was 3 lb. It was released. If I get that one over 3, it is going on the wall as yours is. I am not into replica's, just not the same to me. I release enough big fish every year to justify taking the one 3 lb'er out.
