Thread: Small ones

Went Monday morning caught 3 keepers 2 just 9ins. I bet we caught 15 or so that was 4 to 5 in long. Where did the big ones go? Would them little ones be from last years hatch?

I've heard that the crappie around here will grow 3+ inches per year, so you are probably right about your smallest ones. But, they could be 2 yrs old depending on feed availability. Usually it takes a fish 3 yrs to make it to the 9" minimum, or so I've heard.
