Not much crappie but I posted here anyway.

Well, I wanted to go to Guntersville after the gills but the little girl wanted to try and catch a crappie so we headed to Wheeler. I loaded basically every type of rod I had in case the crappie bite was no good. We fished for crappie for about 1.5 hours, caught 12, kept 2. Decided to swap to some gill fishing. Fished about 1.5 hours and, caught about 30, kept 12. Nephew wanted to try and catch a catfish so we went after the cats. Caught 17, kept 0 (will not put the slimey monsters in my livewell). It wa some of the biggest cats I had ever caught. Have pictures of 3 of the bigger ones, ended up with 5 like these. I will have to say, they were fun on 6lb line and spinning rod!

Nice looking cats. They are fun on lite tackle.
But you should have blacked out that shirt alone with the back ground RoflRoflRofl

    Thanks for the report.

I didn't put the boat in the water this weekend. We did a little bank fishing on Saturday. Caught a bunch of bluegill but couldn't find enough at the size I wanted. Wound up with a handful of keeper sized and two cats. Threw them back at the end of the day.

Nice looking cats. Why didn't ya bring the cooler?

Would have had to been a big cooler!! Actually started too but I won't eat them and was afraid I would not be able to get someone to come get them and I would have to throw them away.

Yep, he is as tall as I am now and don't need anyone to hold his hand while hunting anymore. He actually missed one this past year that would have really showed me up.
