NJ are you still coordinating those charlie brewers ha ha
No coordinates needed. It's an easy find. Go up river a mile or so above Al Hwy 35 bridge and turn into Jones Creek on the east side of the river. It's the first big creek you will come to and you can see Jones Cove cutting back into Sand Mtn. Follow the channel markers into the cove and you will see the bluff mentioned. The boyscout camp is to the right of the bluff. Now, there is a spring hole across the cove from the bluff that you WILL need coordinates to find. The water depth goes from about 8-10 to about 20 foot in this hole. Never fished for crappie there, but it's a bass magnet in the summer. Good luck.
BTW, I don't have coordinates of the hole or I would give them to you. I have always been able to find it the old school way. It's almost due north across the cove from the bluff and off the bank a bit. Troll around over there off the points and maybe you can hit it.
What's the best ramp to use for Jones Cove? I've never fished this far up river.
johndeere640 are you the gentelman I talked to it the boat ramp it Priston Iland? You know the cut thru that goes into Jones creek is a great crappie hole..
