No joke, I heard the other day that someone had caught a bunch of crappie using earthworms. I also heard of this about 10 years ago. Never have tried it but might need to since I have a good suppply available.

We do have a lot of fun at these club tournaments. We have children and women fishing on some of the teams so it is family centered. I will probably be fishing with my grandson this Saturday. There is not much money involved so it is mostly for the fun of friendly competition and the fellowship. We have a meeting and BIG dinner once a year and it is great, wish we had more. We encourage anyone who would like to join us to come on out and see what its all about. Even if you don't want to fish the tournament you could come watch the weigh in and just see what goes on. You can learn a lot about types of crappie fishing you may not be familiar with and check out some of the boats and see how folks have them set up for different types of fishing. You can fish any way you want to as long as its legal by state laws. Hope to see everyone this Saturday.

Our normal fishing hours are 6:30 till 3:00 and we must be back to the weigh in by 4:00. Most teams will be at the weigh in at or shortly after 3:00. Sometimes we will vote to stop at 2:00 if the weather is hot or there is something else going on. Come by and cheeck us out or better yet come and fish with us, its fun. The sign up and weigh in will be at Town & Country / BP station on Hwy. 231.
