    Thumbs up

That is a real good setup you have there Jim, and as everyone can see by your reports you really catch the crappie with it.

Fret, what a great post. Thanks for some great info here. I don't have a boat, but love long line trolling when I get a chance. Good stuff!!

When I use to do this in a john boat I did it like this and it is real sturdy. Used nuts and bolts instead of screws which makes it even more secure. The one on the left is further in so I can pull the trolling motor up and down. Basically this works for me, but you can put them anywhere you want as long as you can grab the rods fast.
gotcha i thought that was what you had done, always like to see others ideas.good job

Enjoyed your instructions, set up the boat nearly (no board) like yours yesterday, today got the jigs and bobber stoppers and set up 5 rods so far and know where i'm going to test out the setup, will let you know. Thanks for the info.--shu

Good luck. I lived in leesburg back in the early 70's. My dad was a recruiter in the army. Been considering moving to that area. I know you guys have a gazillion places to fish. Is there bass and crappie in all them small lakes I see on the map.
