Well went out this morning on Logan Martin and by 7:30 I had 10 keepers in the boat and it was looking good for a limit of crappie - BUT!!!!!! Just before 7:30 the wind started howling and kept getting worse. Keep trying until 9am but never got another bite and could not control the boat so gave up. But hey, by 11:30 I was eating fresh crappie for lunch!! This is my first year fishing Logan Martin (and Alabama for that matter) and one thing I've learned is that once the wind gets going on Logan Martin there's no where to hide.
Glad you had a nice lunch...
You need one of those GPS type hickie things so you can tell how fast you're going Bubba! I like to troll with the wind to my back and cut down on the TM speed.
Sounds like you had a good morning though.
I don't need a gps thingie to tell me I'm not moving going in one direction or only a dolphin could catch my jig going in the other direction. It was wild out there, thought I was going to have to call the coast guard to come get me.:D
get you a drift sock Lindy has a good one called drift control. this will help you slow down and have control even in the wind.
