I used to have a floating light with about the same type of results. I then got two of the green submersible types and it is a whole new world for night fishing!!

Default Slow Bite on Lay Lake

Hi - I have been crappie fishing with Live Minnows and Jigs on Lay coming out of Beeswax Creek and have had very bad luck getting on the crappie. I thought we found them Saturday turned out to be a ton of Hybrid Stripe about a pound we caught them till we were tired of catching them but no crappie.. I have caught one this year and it is at the Taxidermist 3 LB 6 oz . I guess it was kinda worth it but I am looking for the normal Springtime Bite when you can't keep them out of the boat.

Anyone having luck at Lay Lake in Alabama?

    Thanks.
