    Default Walking down the Eno

Thats right, you can literly walk down the Eno river right now, If you weigh less than 2 pounds!:D We saw some birds doing it yesterday. 1/2 to3/4 ice on the river right now so it'll neeed to get above freezing for a few days before you can troll that spot. So we went to the old car bank, marksd a lot of fish but no takers. With all the good football games on yesterday what was I thinking? Cabin fever hit me hard I guess, but after 1 hr. I was cured and headed back home. Come on warm weather. CK.

Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!

I got a 1 acre pond behind my house and I walked out on it about 10' and jumped up and down and it stayed solid as a concrete. Must be 5 or 6 inches thick.

careful with the small ponds! had a neighbors dog fall through a pond that doesn't get any sun and you would have thought it would be thick.old pond is only about 4-6 ft at its deepest!

I was running around Bass Lake on Saturday. There were a couple kids testing the ice a few feet out from shore. When I told them they were over 6feet of water and that the ice was only 2 days frozen they...well, they ignored me as only teenagers can.
I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could

i took just 1 step out on my pond moments ago to check out the THOUSANDS of floating shad under the ice. they arnt much bigger than 2 inches long. the 5-6 acre pond is covered with maby 1 inch thick ice. i think it killed ALL the shad in there. thats probably a good thing tho because they werent supposed to be shad in there. hopefully my blueback herring i put in there survived tho :D

Hey Kunes, been thinking about you lately. Especially when I watch this new show. Haven't spotted you yet.

Not braggin'....much....but at one time or another I've beaten every one of them Pitmasters except the asian guy....never crossed paths with him.

And while I'm braggin' I might as well take this opportunity for shameless self promotion. I'm selling homemade (at a butchershop in Belmont) sausage on Friday's and Saturday's here:

Welcome to The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery

Doing BBQ there about once a month also. Stop by if yer in the area.

    Might take up fishin' soon:rolleyes:
