Les, you can still get the Optronics Night Blaster on eBay for ~$30.00 (total cost) if you comparison shop (price + s/h) thru the many different sellers. (BUT, they're NOT LED ... they're 12v headlights with 26,000 lumens and a power draw of almost 4amps/hr.

Cheapest one I found after a quick search : https://www.ebay.com/itm/39763858820...Bk9SR7jdsN6aZw

    Hydro Glow FFL12 Floating Fish Light w/20 Cord - LED - 12W - 12V - White [FFL12W]

I need to go look in my storage building..... I may have a couple of the old car headlight ones from "back in the day"? Now I use an evening secret brand I bought about 5 years ago.

I would think a LED one wouldn't suck a battery down as fast as the 12v headlight ones do.

Last time I used my 12v floating headlight one it drained my Group 24 starting battery & I had to pull out my marine jumper cables to fire up the big motor and get my boat back on the trailer.

That's OK, I have to proof read everything I post (sometimes twice or more) just to make sure my keyboard fingers didn't get too far behind my thoughts.

NCkenner's link to the LED floating light is good & says they're "in stock", if you want to go that route. I'm sure it's probably strong enough to draw Shad, but at 900 lumens it's gonna be over 300 times dimmer than the 12v headlight unit (according to my calculations, but ). And again, used Optronics ones are all over eBay for around the $30 range.

I would think you would be able to find a new sealed beam led headlight, then fabricate a styrofoam frame and run it on high beam and get the effect you want.
Might need to pull out your MacGyver notebook for that project.
    Just a thought.
