Default 24V Lithium Trolling Motor Batteries

    Good morning, y'all,

My current lead acid trolling motor is a little over four years old, and it seems like it's starting to lose power. I'm thinking of going to a 24 volt lithium battery and upgrading my trolling motor. I'd appreciate any insight that anyone can offer on 24 volt lithium trolling motor batteries, along with an onboard charging system...good vs bad points, price, etc., or anything other info. Thank you!

I already replied to the duplicate post in the main forum, but I'll still mention that I switched to a pair of 12V LiTime 100Ah LiFePo4 batteries because switching to a 24V was also going to require a new charger. I'm still using a Minn Kota MK330D because it can charge my batteries as an AGM and be fine for 1.5 years so far. If you still have a brushed trolling motor, you shouldn't run past 85% speed for a significant period of time per Minn Kota's service bulletin. I haven't noticed any side effects when I set my 24V brushed Ultrex (non-Quest) to a cruising speed into the wind where the motor speed will occasionally spike between 9-10 as of yet, but your miles may vary.
If I'm not at work or taking kids to their activities, you might find me on "The Rez" fishing. If not there, I could be in the garage working on my boat.

I have Impulse Lithium All Purpose batteries for a starting and electronics batteries along with a NOCO charger and have no complaints. Read the details on the warranty before you buy.
