Default got to go fishin again yesterday- Friday

ok C.C friends here we go!!
sorry for the delay I had some things to take care of when I got home last night and today.
well I splashed at Ebenezer about noon and around 1;30 I was thinking I should have stayed home
out of this cold wind but I trudged on trying to make something happen I had zero fish to count -
finally found a nice school and caught a few fish and quitting was near and thought just one more
school before I quit - found it and caught a couple more fish than it came down to just one more cast
than the second last cast and then the last cast and that's when all heck broke loose big boy hit and
I couldn't get to my net so last resort is boat flip em first time I had a little to much line out and the fish
slammed aganst the side of the boat but still hooked so I wound a couple feet of line up and put a
LEAN BACK DO OR DIE ONE MORE Yank on em and a bounce off my chest and in the boat BIG BOY
landed- weighed 2.1 16 inches took a pic of the fish and thought i better take one of the scale for proof
this time he weighed only 2.0 than thought if I dip em in the water ill get my .1 back so I dipped em in
the water and the last time I saw the scales they were hooked in a 2 lb. crappie mouth going under
my boat never to be seen again... hope y'all enjoy this little [I wish it was not true story] tight lines to you all

Pictures that Uncle Remus sent me to add to his post.
Nice fish! When you replace your scale tie a float to it so it doesn't swim away again !
Maybe someday soon I will be able to join you??Name: IMG_20260207_212122.jpg

Nice catch. Probably weighs an extra pound now with scales attached. They make scales that float now but if hooked on I doubt would float. I have some for my kayak. Hate you lost yours.

no sir it happened just like that- I'm kinda glad I lost the scales they were the sorriest piece of junk I ever bought
gonna be hard for me to buy much from bass pro again. What I think is the sad part is that 2lb. crappie will probably
starve to death I was going to release it anyway but not with the scales hooked to it

Ole Remus is like a good huntin dog. He found some fish and put me on em today. Had 20 keepers in 45 minutes. Caught em till I was tuckered out. Quit at 1:00 and got home early. That Scale Story is one that will grow into Tall-Tale.

Luv me some Remus and the tales! He even Striper fishes on occasion. Hopefully I can con him into a trip to Clarks Hill this Spring?
