    Default Cold weather fishing

Got some cold weather fishing in with the next Jungle Jim and they were really biting. Mixed bag fishing. We got some red, orange, blue, green and purple fish .Had our limit in about 10 minutes. All were released for the next trip. Think that at the age of 4 he is ready to start with some real fish.

He was certainly locked in on this trip. Has his own subscription to In-Fisherman magazine and loves the fishing catalogs too. I have two 4 year old grandsons four months apart and 2026 is going to be the year for both to get started catching some real fish.

This is how I started on my fishing journey over 65 years ago. I was catching plastic fish out of the bath tub when I was two and still remember those early day tub trips and the plastic rod and reel I used back then. Even had a plastic hook to hook the rings on the fish. Mom said this would keep me busy for a couple hours which is very lo0ng time to keep a two year old occupied.

Just remember it's about the boys...Youngens have short attention spans and can get bored easily... But the concentration on his face, I don't think you'll have a problem...
