A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Surviving, wish I could get out more. But with slick spots I dare not walk on them.
A package was delivered to the Memphis postal hub Wednesday of last week. It's still sitting there. No mail delivery since Friday of last week.
Yessir, I had a good fall Monday I think it was. I had been so careful the whole time, but the horses came running up to a downed section of fence I hadn’t been able to repair yet, and I went running out to shoo them back. Next thing I know, it was like a cartoon. Out shot both feet, first thing hit the ice was my shoulders followed by back of my head. Jarred me pretty good, I’m trying to roll over on hands and knees to crawl towards a clear spot to get up, and the dogs run up trying to lick me in the face
Saw stars for a minute!

You’re getting too old fer the Olympics Gymnastics Team. I fell as well but had 8 inches of snow fer “cushioning”. Be safe Jef.

This ice is no joke!! I haven't fallen yet but I've come close many times. My truck slid to a stop today at work in the parking lot. They are calling for 3-6" of snow now falling on top of the ice.I'm glad you weren't hurt any worse. Be safe out there. I've seen these silicone ice/snow slip on grippers I think I'm buying now after this mess.
Sorry! Something went wrong!

I had 1 trash bag in the pantry. I changed 1 in the trashcan that was leaking so I carried both to the street. The 1" of snow on top was soft but my steps didn't sink in. I got halfway down the driveway and sat down. No pain or sore spots yet, been 3 days.
Thursday had a high in the mid 40's. I checked the pantry and went shopping at 1 pm. Good footing on the soft stuff. The roads in the neighborhood were rutted and drivable. Goodman Rd had 1 1/2 to 2 lanes cleared. I went to 2 Aldis, 2 Dollar Trees, Sam's, SuperLo and the drugstore. Got all on my list except for milk, bread and crackers. Parking lots were packed ice, none cleared. After stuff was put away I was ready for a nap.
Yesterday I went to the shop to check gas cans, fill up the car then head to Kroger to fill the truck and cans with 35 gallons @ $1 off per gallon. I didn't find a step that wasn't slick. I brought 2 jugs of salt back in the house and didn't go after gas. Today is colder, I'll lose my December $1 off per gallon. After warming up I heard an engine racing and tires spinning. A neighbor got their tires stuck in the curb at the bottom of the driveway. It's still there this morning.
The street in front of my house has 3 big Icey spots with very little ruts. Some roads are worse than mine.
School is closed again today, most likely tomorrow too. 2 weeks of kids being at home and parents on face book happening groups are screaming. One said, kids go to school in worse conditions than this in other places. Well, move there.
