Default Coldest weather in awhile this week

Weather this week is featuring some teens for lows and highs in the thirties and a couple of low 40’s .
Our local pond may get some hard water before the weeks out .
Time to start tying my jig supply for this coming year .
    I ordered 300 3.8mm tungsten slotted beads today . They’ll produce a half gram jighead . Slightly lighter than a 1/48oz jig . But smaller , using size 10-12 hooks .
I already have a good supply of hooks . Both jig and in-line streamer hooks .
I usually use a 4.0mm bead but the prices have gone up and after searching around, I found some 3.8mm at a decent price.
    I like tiny , micro jigs .

Perfect time to stock up with the cold and snow arrival. When bad weather hits it's all I do is paint and tie. I made over 50 yesterday and will be making more today.

What's a good price for the beads? I've found some for around $0.25 each. Never shopped for em before. I have used hematite beads in the past but never found slotted versions.

Depends on the size . My favorite size is the 4mm . .25 each is about right for 4mm . Last year I was buying them for around $20 per hundred. They’re asking $20+ for fifty now . Almost double . Same brand .
I was lucky to find some 3.8mm for $12 per hundred. I hope the quality isn’t too bad . Thought I would give them a try for that price .
