I had a cooler full of venison jerky leave southern Illinois bound for central Illinois. By car it is a 4 hour trip. It sat in St. Louis for 2 months. Boy did it taste good

government run stuff has a tendency to not be the best case scenario .....
if you have been watching the news lately , it might not get any better .....
the postal dept. has been a train wreck for a very long time ....
I used to mail letters to Florida and then about 30 miles up the road ....
4 to 5 days local , 2 to 3 to Florida .....go figure

I can't imagine a private company being managed like the usps is staying in business long.

Get ready to pay more as of 1/18/26. Shipping rates increased 5-8%.

Ordered a 2oz pkg of glitter on Etsy, from an outfit here in Missouri. USPS sent it out at 3:15am this morning in Winfield, Mo. it went to St Louis distribution center for mail, About 50 miles away. It took till 11:35 to get there, 8-1/2 hours to go 50 miles. Yet it's supposed to be delivered here by their estimation tomorrow with my mail. It still has to go to the mail hub in Kansas City, through Olathe Ks, and two distribution centers in Springfield before my mail carrier even gets it to deliver it. The Postal service needs to revamp this debacle they have now...

Wonder why customers complain their service leaves much to be desired. It arrived at 11:35 Am, its now 3:31pm and still there. It will be a miracle to go through their system and arrive to me by Friday, let alone tomorrow in the mail, which leaves the carriers center at O6:30...Another Package delivered after the promised/suggested delivery date...Thank useless, I mean USPS...
