Hate you’re feeling bad but a cooler full like you have should help you feel better. Good job. Thanks for sharing

I had all intentions of resting and relaxing today since I started with flu like symptoms last night. However, when I received a 10 AM text and picture of my fishing bubby's new personal best 2 lb 11oz White Sacalait he had just caught it motivated me to get out of my chair, hook up the trailer and get my butt on the water. My bride knew I wasn't feeling well and was quite shocked when I informed her I was headed fishing. The launch wasn't crowded with just 3 trailers in the parking lot. Probably due to the dirty water conditions and stiff breeze blowing out the south. As Jig Rig says Perfect Conditions. Launched around 10:30. Water temp was 61 F which has probably triggered an early spawn here on the bayou in South East Louisiana. I landed over 40 but only kept 18 blacks all over 10". They were up against the bank on cypress knees and stumps. I didn't catch any males in their tuxedos but several fish had busted tails and red rears. They wanted 2 inch plastics, black with silver glitter today. I didn't get my personal best today but I did have a much better time than I would have had staring at the TV from my recliner. Lesson today: Go Fishing even if you feel crappie. You gonna feel crappie any way so why not feel crappie on the water in the fresh air. Today's high here was 78 F FYI.
BON TEMPS!

Yeah, Keith's Crappie he caught with me the very first video we shot was the exact same weight. Keith didn't even know how to present the jig but by 1pm he had it down and at 2pm he caught that monster in the Lock. For us this is the time of year to fish for Big Crappie.
Good read! Thanks for posting
