It's all about the money, like Carl Peterson said years ago it's putting butt's in the seats which in turn feeds the greed of the Hunt family. Seen this new stadium will have about 10,000 less seats, all about the fans right. Kansas speedway has done pretty good, haven't heard anything about I-70 Speedway in quite a while and NHRA goes to Topeka every year. Missouri has lost a lot of business to Kansas and this is the latest big example. I love MO., but somebody needs to get there head out of what they want in seats. I think this decision to move the Chiefs sucks, will it still be GEHA field?, Garmin field? or whatever corporate entity has the deepest pockets.
    Amen brother!

That's what is all about anyway. GREED or The Rich get Richer! Poor Hunt Family can't be expected to spend any of their billions and why would they? If Kansas wants to build me a house for free Then I pay rent but get all the rent money back for improvements then I'M IN!
The fans will pay Ticket Prices YIKES!

And speaking of the speedway at only 24 million and the stadium will be 3 Billion with a B........
Not sure how Star Bonds (Future Sales Tax = FAKE MONEY )work but can't be a good deal for the State in the long run. Over 25 Years and still not paid for.................

As of December 31, 2025, the Kansas Speedway is not fully paid off. The stadium continues to repay its STAR bonds, with $12.3 million in debt remaining as of December 22, 2025.
The project was initially funded through STAR bonds, a program that allows Kansas cities to use future sales tax revenue to finance tourism projects.
While some STAR bond projects have been paid off early, such as Children’s Mercy Park and the Flint Hills Discovery Center, Kansas Speedway remains under debt repayment.

The Kansas Speedway was developed using $24.3 million in STAR bonds issued in 1999.

Oh well I'll keep their fish anyway!

Bye bye chiefs!!!! Now send all that allocated money back to the tax payer! Multi billionaire owners paying QBs 50 million a year relying on tax dollars to get a stadium is a joke. One reason I don't watch much sports and not a fan of any team.

The Hunt family is worth an estimated 24.8 billion....they are paying a QB 50 million a year....BUILD YOUR OWN FREAKING STADIUM!!! Or maybe football fans should take up a Go Fund Me Page, otherwise bye bye Cheifs

As an owner of an NFL Team, I feel like I'm qualified to respond to this!!

The team *I* own funds its stadium improvements without burdening taxpayers (aside from a .5% sales tax for the county (which only lasted 15 years, BTW) taking advantage of the huge number of visitors that county receives that are drawn to the stadium! And even that was a mere $300M over 15 years!) And there's no risk of that team moving to another state, even on the promise of a new stadium!!

So...we're happy to have YOU as a fan!!
