The fog lifted around 10:30 AM and my Bride, Austin my grandson, and I pulled up to the launch. The parking lot was full as I expected since it was a Saturday and everyone was trying out their new Xmas presents. Water temp was 66 F and the current December heat wave was close to breaking the record high for 12/27. 80 F high today with slight SW breeze. Water was dirty and not moving much. Perfect conditions. We found several fish on lay downs but most didn’t do much except follow our jigs. We tried the rainbow today in jig colors but purple with silver belly baby shad ended up being what caught their attention. My bride caught a nice bass and my grandson cleaned our clocks catching 3 or 4 to our 1. The tide started to raise and it turned them ON. Ended up with a nice box of thick blacks.
Great Day on the water. By Monday it’s supposed to be freezing here with a high in the low 40’s and a severe freeze in the 20’s Tuesday morning.
BON TEMPS!!

Great family fishing trip, the cooler shot is proof. Jig color certainly makes a difference.

Very nice. Thanks for the ride along. Those are some real temperature variations. The warm sounds nice. It is pretty cold up here in the NE!

Yeah, we all have our Whacking Sticks out putting limits in the coolers right now. Bon Temps' fishes like He's really Mad at the Crappie. Bud I got the pile of fish to clean pictures. Just Fantastic. Roll On!
Awesome outing!
