Thread: Who’s gettin’ a new crappie rod for Christmas? I’m gettin’ TWO!

That’s right! TWO! One Okuma Celilo 6’0” ultralight with a Piscifun Viper X 500 reel. One Shakespeare Micro Series 7’0” light with a Piscifun Viper X 1000 reel. Ok, I bought that Micro rod, but the reel is a gift. I done got inside word on it. Honorable mention; I’m getting another Viper X 1000 as a replacement for a reel on a different rod.

P.S. I guess I should also add that I got dad a Handing Magic L 6’0” ultralight casting rod with a Lew’s Wally Marshall spincast reel. He likes the old push button type. Bought him an ultralight spinning rod this year for his birthday but he just ain’t into spinning. I went crazy with crappie rods this year. Acquired five myself counting these two coming, and bought three more for others to get them started in slab slaying!

Awesome! Sounds like some great presents! I've heard a lot of good things about both of those rods as well as the Handing Magic L. I love those Viper X and Carbon X reels! I have 4 of the Carbon X 1000's that I've been using for for 6 years and they've been great!
