Default A Christmas flower for my C.c friends

Merry Christmas , thought I would share a pic of my wife's Christmas cactus. It is at least 10 years old. Enjoy.

    That's a beautiful cactus!
My mom took over my grandmothers Christmas cactus and took cuttings and distributed them to family members. I remember as a young boy seeing them in my Grandmothers house. Mom still has a couple of those original cuttings going but they are not as full and blossomed out as that one. I think she gave the original plant to the church and I believe they still grace the front on either side of the pulpit. They'll be somewhere in the 60 year age.
I do not have one as we can kill any plant that comes in through the door, no matter how hardy. We do not have green thumbs in this house!
Thanks for the picture and memories.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

That's a beauty. It's one of my favorite plants as well. We have three around our house.

Ours too bro , it has been thru the mill , bought killed it multiple times , that is actually how we got possession of it , on it’s last leg about 10 years ago and we adopted it …..
Took us forever to figure out how to keep it happy , finally said out of the house , onto the porch and good luck….
So if we keep it out of the summer sun and bring it in before it freezes….it is happy
    Merry Christmas to you too

Wife has a good sized one as well. She puts it outside for the summer also, but is on our porch, that has a roof over it. Just a tip, but when they seem like they are not producing much flowers anymore, just repot them into a larger pot. The wife did that ,last year, and it was so overloaded with flowers this year, we couldn't believe it.

Any plant brought around here dies with-in a year. I do not have a green thumb.
