Nice

I lost the original ugly jig on the last trip but have been tying something similar lately.
These are on the 1/8 oz head with a #2 hook. Materials are combinations of EP fiber and Sissi fiber along with some bucktail, flash, and Palmer chenille.

Very nice colors in those ties. Increases the odds of those crappie seeing your baits.

Thanks guys!
I've been trying to add a little yellow and red to most jigs lately. Shad have a yellowish tint and show some red at times.
Various colors on one jig at least give a crappie a choice if particular about colors. It shouldn't hurt anything since the primary color is more natural.
Shaping the jig into a minnow profile should also help.
I'm sticking with the pressure theory on this type of tie. This is done using bucktail and Palmer chenille to create the cone shape on the body near the head.
That's my theory anyway!

I started adding red last year and it definitely seemed to help! Great point on the yellowish tint of the shad!
