Question on MinnKota Trolling Motors

On the Pontoon I was Gifted Is a 24v 70# thrust 54" shaft Minn Kota PowerDrive trolling motor. I removed all electronics from the boat as for now I have to keep it at a self-storage place, outside covered. My desk area got re-arranged while I was out of the house and for a bit the I-pilot remote control was miss placed. I did find it after lots of searching, but at the same time, I was researching a replacement.

Now, my question is, is there anyway to tell if one is Bluetooth or not. Evidently it makes a difference as to whether a replacement will work or not. At $165.00 to almost $300.00 for a replacement, I want order the right on the first time. All insight and help is greatly appreciated. TYIA.

Is your troller an I pilot? When was it made. Those will be the questions you need to find out.

The Controller I have has i-pilot on top above the screen, as far as the year, from what I've read the manufacturer date is the first 5 numbers of the serial number yummy. For mine it would be 22014 or Jan. 4 2022.

Yes Sir. A few other things have come up to do first, but getting a back-up remote is high on the list. Trying to deal with getting a new house and out of this Mobile Home Park. This Place is now, after changing hands 5 times since we moved in, worse than a HOA in the Ghetto, seriously...Time to move on down the line, so to speak. Thank you and the others for your help.

If it has blue tooth you can down load the app & use your phone. I did have a powerdrive 12v & my remote quit on the water. I finished out the day with my phone. It won't give you all the features as the remote but it is a backup if needed. Might save you from buying a second one to just lay around.

Yep, forgot all about that. I have it on my phone and when my remote started acting up, never thought about it on my phone.

I have done that a few times, forgetting I have down loaded something, only to either find it sometime later, or down loading it again...lol.
