Default It's been a good Fall out West

I've slowed down on my hunting so I've been fishing a lot this Fall. Weather has been pretty mild and the fishing has been hot. Each week the water cools a few degrees and the fish go a little deeper, This week they were pretty consistent at 24'. I've been doing well with Freaky Franks 2.5" worm.

I caught a big one late summer. Wish I would have taken the time to weigh it. Caught a thick 14"er right after. This year many of the fish 11" and up are impressive. Real thick with deep girth. Black crappie.

That's a heck of a fish, nice one!
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

Really nice mess of fish in first pic, the yellow perch got my attention. Big crappie looks like it would have been over 2#.

A fine catch and some good looking perch. They make some fine eating.
