Was in Wally World A day or so ago and seen a pack of two of the flat plastic type marker Bouy's for $18.00 and some change...A bit more than I wanted to pay. I did a bit of thinkin' and made me some up from a pool noodle, some deck screws, a length of nylon cord and a 2-oz bank sinker. On opposite ends but directly in line with each other I put 2 screws #10x2-1/2" on each end to act as a counter weight, so when weight hits bottom, it will stop spinning. Tied approx. 50' of Twisted Polly Line to the center of a 5" section of the pool noodle and wrapped it around. A small slit in the end of the noodle holds the string in place and the weight stores in the hollow space inside. I priced it all out and came up with $3.86 each, or $7.72 for a pair. The noodle I paid 1.50 for (I got 10 sections out of or .15 ea.), the string Twisted masons cord was $4.92 and I got 4 lengths of cord with a bit left over( for 1.23 ea.) screws were $10.86 a box of 88 coated deck screws (or .15 ea. x 4 per marker = .60) and the weights were $7.52 for a 4 pack of 2oz bank sinkers (or 1.88 ea.). No matter it came out less than the $18.00 for 2....
