    Default Wesley's jig

I was tying up some jigs a couple days ago and my four year old grandson Wesley came into the room and climbed into my lap. I asked if he wanted to make an OWIEEE, my word for jig. He said "SURE" so we got started. With my guidance he came up with this. Simple tie with bunny hair and flash. Guided him through this ten minute jig, only thing I did was guide his little hands throughout the tie and I did the finish with the knots. After it was finished he showed "GIGI" and then I tied it on my rod for the next morning trip. His jig caught a crappie on the third cast and caught 3 more in that morning fishing session. Went back that afternoon and the freshly stocked trout loved it, caught over 20 trout on it. Went yesterday again first cast hooked a trout that wrapped me around a post and broke off. Guess we will have to make more.Name: IMG_6578.jpg

That's awesome. He had a good teacher and hopefully will continue with tying jigs. It's a pretty jig.
