Yesterday was a beautiful day to be fishing. Yesterday I'm working on a boat in for a updated hydraulic Anchor and Jackplate repairs in the shop looking out the door dreaming of the Thump. Well about 2pm I was finished with all I could do till parts arrive so I dropped the boat in across the street, motored out from the Launch, dropped a BGBS Red Thunder down and THUMP! The big white Crappie was On! Like usual first drop and catch a fish is the kiss of death, I fished for over a hour before the big black Crappie Thumped. Lots of Saltwater is up in the river and these big Crappie (off the food chain Crappie) are roaming, gorging on all the bait in the water. Nothing ganged up on the structure just roaming Crappie.

Those are some really nice thick fish. First drop got the skunk off and was a good one, anything else after that is gravy.

Good job. It's a love/hate thing when they hit the first drop/cast.

Nice catch brother! We been giving them fits in Alabama. Going to make a trip over in your neck of the woods possibly this week. We will see.

Some nice fish there John. I got one nice one today that said goodbye boatside so no pic. Slow day here but the afternoon bite was better than what I found this morning. Glad you got to decompress for a while.
