Default Pretty Good Day on Black Bayou

Got a little time to hit the lake this Sunday morning. They were a little finicky, but I was catching them on the old tried and true black and chartreuse tube jig dipped in Slab Sauce. Caught 7 over 1.5 lbs. they were still holding on some brush piles and had not yet moved to the 18 or 19 foot of water. These were caught in about 10 feet. The pictures just a sample of went in theName: IMG_2848.jpg

I really believe in the Slab Sauce. They were very finicky to the point of not being interested. I put a little slab sauce on the jig and it seemed to wake them up pretty quickly, and it always seem to be the larger ones that were hitting it hard. The sauce would wear off and the bites would stop, put a little more sauce on and then the bite would pick up again. The bream really go crazy for it.

We experienced big black bass at the river ….specifically right after a dose on your jig
Other fish as well , but it was quite interesting that if applied at the river
Your first take was likely a solid bass
