Default Wind Out of the East, fish bite Least!

Didn’t hold true today. Got nine at the first spot, got eleven at the second spot. Then got on four really great spots had eighty at twelve o’clock. Quit at One Thirty with Ninety Two. Nasty Day weather wise but the bite was hot. Water temp was sixty two. Didn’t keep any today. Way to go tackleboat. I'm glad you picked mine and Uncle Remus's old habit of fishing on nasty days wind, rain, snow a fisherman must go. LOL

You must really hate those crappie to be out on a day like that!
That’s the kind of days I picked to put out my structures if I can.

I’m usually focused and wouldn’t see you with a pile to drop even if it was close by. It’s funny there was a guy with a huge wooden contraption he was gonna drop but I was close. I begged him to not drop in that cove because it already had too much brush. He was just hiding till his spot cleared of eyes. I hope I never find it. It looked of a hangy mess. I’ve learned to scan an area before I drop one. I hate too much brush in an area.

I know what you mean about to much stuff in a cove. That’s why I like those conduit things I build, it’s not bad to hang up.

I have dropped a few plastic piles but haven’t been successful in getting fish on them. I’m hoping that with time they will start using them. Seems I can drop green leaves natural stuff and they will be on it in days. I may need some pointers. My plastic stuff isn’t too tall so I haven’t sunk too deep. Maybe that’s my problem. Any tips appreciated.

Most of the pictures I post are of fish on structures I drop. I go more on bottom contour for placement. I don’t put them in water under 12’ cause I don’t fish that shallow. I put them on a flat bottom in deeper water (over 20ft). The ones I make should last forever. I think my biggest problem is people catfishing snagging them and dragging them off the spot or tipping them over. I’ve been changing how I make them to lessen that problem. I don’t fish enough to know how quickly fish get on them. This is my most recent design that is about 6’ tall.

This is how they started and you can see how easy they turn over but I’ve been adding pieces right before I drop them to try to keep them upright.
