I made a post a couple of days ago, asking about everyone's experience following a heavy rain. We got some pretty heavy (and much needed) rain in our area Saturday night and into Sunday morning. The last heavy rain ended at about 7 AM, so once I finished all the work I needed to do, I got on the water at about noon. The water along the banks of the lake were muddier than usual, and it took awhile for me to find some fish, but I finally found a few around 3 PM in 4-6' of water. I caught several that seemed to be roaming in packs in open water and caught those about 2' under a cork with a black/chartreuse crappie magnet on a 1/64 oz jig head and then caught several others vertical jigging on the same jig head but with a crappie magnet "roo" (including the 14" fish). We beat our biggest rival Friday night, and then to follow it up with catching a few fish on Sunday, made it a great weekend!
Awesome job. Good cooler of groceries.
