Waited for the temperature to raise above 70 F after our first cool 45 F morning. Hit the Bayou and ended up with 16 all over 9” and several over 10”. All caught on BG plastics. No real big groups were found but the schools of shad were enormous and numerous. Water temp 72 F and falling slightly.
BON TEMPS!!

Glad to see your exercising the new knee the right way. The late baitfish hatch is insane in the Jourdan too. Big Trout chasing monster white shrimp. The clouds of baitfish are so thick they blot out the bottom when looking over the side. Unfortunately all saltwater baitfish. Spanish Mackerel are in the river here now. We need rain. The new Control cables for the Hot Foot install is due here today. The Champion had a updated Remote Control so I'm glad I took it apart or I may have ordered the wrong cables. The rain this weekend will help all our Coastal Rivers in the long term. Too much saltwater upriver kills freshwater vegetation.
