I would tend to think the fish suspended at around the 20 foot deep mark are crappie around some time of cover on the drop .
Without being in the boat and watching how they either reacted or didn’t to a presentation it is really difficult to say what would be the silver bullet .
Sometimes they are for sure there and you just can’t seem to make one even move a little bit .
This all said it appears to me that there is baitfish below them , a jig pitched past the baitfish and dropped to that depth and then slowly drug upwards by the likely suspended crappie might trigger the desired result ….. it would have been my first thing to try on them ,,,,, a curly tailed version on a 1/16 weight jighead ….tipped with a glo white Berkeley crappie nibble ….if it was just bass , it would be within a pitch or 2 on the hookup ….
Crappie maybe not ….
