Fortunate to have pasture for them to graze on during Summer, but I do miss getting to get close with them every day. Put up and feed every night, turn out in the morning.

The buckskin mare, that’s my girl. We rode the CW reenactments together, saw the elephant with each other. As someone pointed out to me, I know they’re shooting blanks. But to a horse, it’s real. Infantry shooting, waving flags, hollering.
I had to rein her in numerous times. She gets that mindset where she is going over the top. Hard to explain trampled federals in a reenactment lol!
