Default Calvary showed up to save my trip.

with wife doing poorly don't have much time to get up to my place but did monday for one night. lake is very low but did pick up two good ones but spent most of time losing jigs in brush which is much closer to surface off of dock. Then my back was barking after being good for 3 months after sound wave treatment.

got up but back was still not good so hesitated but finally went out to woods and did get one good young squirrel for my supper tomorrow and got to use my new squirrel cleaner bracket.

Then remembered I had given a good fishing report to my buddy and called Jeff and he was short distance away and jumped onto his boat. He had been doing well where I told him to go but several boats hanging around bridge piers so decided to go to another arm and hit those. When we arrived got into some really good sized ones right away. they were on either side of pier and side closest to bank was where bigger ones were.

decided to hit other pier when another dude showed up in his boat with a couple of guys fishing from shore. He started ketchn right away and I know he is a good fisherdude so not surprising. Jeff and I were ketchn good as well as shore guys. most fish were 10 to 13 and some real slabs so good time was had by all.

we had our limits so headed back and saw a couple of buddies who were struggling on dock. had fish camera and said all kinds of crappie around dock but were not biting and they were dropping minnows right on top of them. told them where to go so they took off and hopefully got into them.

Thank goodness Jeff had come up and it was best size ketch I've had since spring. headed home to get into massage chair and hot tub. sure I will be good after that.

Sorry for your wife's health and your sore back. Glad you got out and had some time in the woods and lake. Sounds really enjoyable and some good eats too!

Sounds like you had a great day and put the steel to some slabs. Catching crappies like that is enough to help forget those aches and pain, even temporarily. Fishing is good medicine.

dropped fish off at my sons house on way home so he would clean them and have a fry. then when I got home hit the massage chair that night and next morning, then went into hot tub. put ice packs on back of easy chair and by afternoon was doing just fine. Then chair again next morning.

great thing is I know how to get it back in shape quickly. which is nice.
