I decided the best place for the paint to cure was on the truck.
Since the paint is so fresh I don't dare try to install the back glass on the camper cap. I did pour a serious glass of Apple Crown to celebrate the day's progress.

Always something to do here so these restoration jobs get spotty attention at best. Finally installed the Cap's Locking Back Glass.
I had to hold the Glass & Frame up with one hand and start the 4 retaining rivets with the other hand. Then rivet the frame to the Cap. Removing the Tailgate made this much easier. I tried doing it with the Tailgate in place a put a scratch in the new paint.
The rivets hold the frame in place so the retaining backing of the frame can be screwed in from the backside. It took a little time to get everything well screwed back and I had to drill & thread 1/4-20 threads in a new location for the "D" shaped latch rings.
After screwing the frame together all the way around I adjusted the new latch D rings for a smooth catch then put the Tailgate back on.
All the interior is finished and now the Cap is finished I still have to replace the A/C Compressor and charge the system with Freon before putting back into use. I'm doing the Compressor right now.
Looks great Rojo. Probably couldn't see that scratch unless looking for it. Don't know of many trucks that don't have a scratch or two...

A little Finesse-it might buff it out enough.
If I'm not at work or taking kids to their activities, you might find me on "The Rez" fishing. If not there, I could be in the garage working on my boat.
