Thread: 10-14-25 Weekly meetup

I missed last weeks fishing trip , I had to cancel the night before because I bruised my left hand pretty bad . It’s still sore but st least I can use it now , some .
My first fish today was a nice UL spotted bass on 2# line a a sub 5’ rod .
And it was a good test of my bruised hand . When I lipped the bass it twisted and I thought it was going to twist my index finger off . I dropped the fish but was able t get a better grip on the second try .
I fished my shortened Abu Garcia MB3 rods today , all were equipped with Shimano Soare 500 XR or BB reels and 2# P-Line Floroclear.
My fishing buddy was six fish up on me before I wet a line and at lunch/snack break , he was 25 to my 24 .
After lunch we fished forty more minutes, I found a couple of good spots and ended up with 46 to my buddy’s 30.
A lot of them were in the 5-6” size , but very colorful. A 6” orange spotted sunfish rivals a shellcracker in fight . Fun fish !
I caught two bass , one a nice one , and a couple shellcrackers in the mix .
I’m going to add a few more pictures than I usually do , to show some colorful ones .
