Default Kayak Trip Report, Cotaco Creek

I fished Cotaco today from Sharps Ford back up to the river without much to report. Baitfish schools everywhere and fish on the laydowns showing on my fishfinder, but I struggled to get anything to bite. I left with 7 that were between 9 and 10 inches and returned about the same number of larger fish. Also returned several dozen short fish and lots of tiny gills. Beautiful day on the water, just not much catching. The water was 71 to 73 degrees with visibility of about a foot.

FYI, got checked by the State Game Wardens, was glad to see them. Polite, professional and I was back to fishing in 30 seconds.

    Fun times for sure !
once the big fish figures out where all the bait has gone it ought to be on for sure tons of bait in most creeks up on the norther end.
    thanks for sharing.
    Too blessed to be stressed!
