Default Kayak Trip Report, Barron Fork

I fished Barron Fork today from daylight till mid-day. I kept a limit and returned a dozen more that would measure. Little ones 4 to 6 inches were everywhere. Wind got brutal, but it probably helped me with the shallow clear water. 68 degrees at daylight with visibility of a foot. Fish came out of two to three feet of water (anywhere there was brush). With the wind I had to use a jig and bobber, just couldn't hold the kayak in the wind to fish single pole. Also put in some stake beds for next spring.

Came up on a laydown early that I wanted to work but found a big Red Wasp nest in it with them all clustered together.

Good job, good groceries. Wind is tough to fish in from a kayak.

July and August about killed me at work, LOL. Not furloughed, but working 40-hour weeks again and going through my use or lose leave. I should be back on the water regularly through December.
