Find new lure design are a challenge
Have any of you heard of the Dice lure used for bass? It's nothing more than a cube of soft plastic with a silicone skirt.
It gave me an idea: pull strands though a plastic lure using a fine wire with loop at the end.
example:
The above was made attaching small tube bodies together after removing the skirts. The pill design has worked great since I discovered it last year along with other similar shapes rigged on light jigs. The quivering strands should get some great strikes worked mid depth considering how supersensitive fish are to finesse action.

Also, the dice lure I think came from Japanese fishermen. They have gotten popular here over the last year or so. If you like worm fishing with a finesse presentation check out the Inu rig or Tokyo rig.

I used the Spidy-Pill yesterday and didn't notice much difference in the number of strikes. But what shocked me were the numbers of strikes on the modified 3" Sassy Shad lure which is similar in shape and action to the Runcl swimbait - but even better!

I've been doctoring some of my finesse floating worms with round reptile rubber using a hair rig tool used for carp fishing and it works very well with the Elaztech and regular plastics. Going to play with some panfish plastics today.

I rig them weedless on a 1/32 - 1/8 head. Favorite this year is the 1/16. Summer hasn't ended here even though it's October with temps in the upper 80's still so keep fishing for bass waiting for cooler weather. Catch a lot of hybrid bluegill on these even with a 2/0 hook.

They hit micro lures at 2:30 pm under a bright sky. The lure that caught the small yellow perch was 4".
