    Default Army SITREP Day Two

    SITREP = Situation Report

    Another Great Day of Leave Fishing with our Army Son. I guess I should refer to him as Sargent Keefer. Now if the Shut Down don't end soon and mess up his upcoming leadership training he will soon be Staff Sargent Keefer.

    We started out bass fishing and since they didn't cooperate that well he just showed of by catching other species on bass lures. We did both catch a few small bass but nothing really photo worthy. Even a couple of nice white bass.

    Then he went back to Catching Pigs. He caught several crappie over 12 inches and a few 13 and very close to a 14 incher in that mix. My big was probably 11.

    I's say I won the numbers battle by a bit. We found two spots in less than 5 foot of water that were loaded with 8 1/2 to 9 1/2 inchers. At one spot I lost track at 16 but bet I caught well over 20 myself and 5 on 5 consecutive drops. All fish both days got to go back to their family with a great your not going to believe what happened when eating story to tell.

    Good times. Hopefully shutdown ends and your son is Staff Sergeant Keefer soon! Very cool. In the meantime keep catching them and making those memories.

    Nice day for sure with your son. Except he needs some lessons on how to present his crappie. LOL

    Nothing like spending time with your son when you only have a few days. best to him on his advanced training and career.
