Some nice KABOOMS! Thanks for sharing
HaHa: 0
spooled up some 4 lb clear about a week ago on my old 7 foot Tica combo
promptly got a catfish whipping on the trial run
next spot a hundred miles away ,a few days later , I prevailed ......
found fish biting well at a location that went south years ago
not sure why it quit being the golden child of river locations ,but to be sure it isn't anything like it used to be !
fish were all mid river in the channel area and holding about 7 foot deep in 9 foot of water .
used a pink headed grey ghost and a fixed pencil float .
the crappie were pretty darn nice size for river fish and the kitty got to get a photo op as well
all returned to river and my lunch break was over
good times for sure
that 4 lb. test will cast a country mile and them way out there hooksets are just the stuff
I really enjoy setting the hook, on crappie at long range
that much is a fact
and then as often happens , KABOOM is near
p.s. about 6 or 7 pesky bream got ketched as well , but they just didn't meet my image expectations for this post![]()

Healthy looking fish. Light line produced just fine. WTG!

Looks great- now it's time to experiment with some 2 lb test! I've caught some dandy trout with it.
I really like light line , but I don't like it's ability to tangle easily ......and then ....
2 lb is just too light for the way I set the hook ....
4 is marginal as well ....
6 is so so , 8 can handle what I dish out quite well ...
just saying
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
Good job!
