Default Back at it Smithville 09 20 2025

Had a good weekend fish still shallow around shad in 3 to 6 foot of water some hugging the bottom and some roaming.

Took my father in law Sunday for a bit and I didn't even fish just guided and watched him.

Long arm photos for Keith but really didn't need to with some of those fish.

White bass going crazy both days for a while so caught some of those also, they make good fish tacos.

Pretty cool taking my 83 year old father in law and watching him have a great time and catch some, he's a GREAT Guy.

He still talks about a time I took him five years ago. I called and said I know where some fish are, just got done cleaning a limit and the boat is still hooked up I can take you now or tomorrow. He said I'm on my way, he's learned the Ol' You should have been here yesterday.

We got on the water to the spot and I was just watching him fish, he caught two before I ever got the trolling motor in the water. he was so happy and said it was one of the best fishing days he ever had.
