    Default Rod holder styles?

Looking at new rod holders for Spider rigging. I know most are moving away from it. But my wife likes it and the kids. Have to say I do also, less stressful than livescope. When your just out fishing for run. Also gives me time to let the others enjoy fishing. Then I can get them on a fish or 2 with livescope. Have one grandson hooked now.

Its between a set of Millennium Marine Trolling Rod holders. Or 8 of the Single Widow maker rod holders. What has worked out best of everyone else? I now have the hi-tek rod holders I have been using the last 10 or 15 years.

Rod storage thinking about going with the Millennium storage rack. Now I have Cumberland Crappie set that holds I think 16 rods. I like the CC rod storage. But does get in the way, where the Millennium looks like it would not.

I have the Hi-tek rod holders (2sets with 4holders each) and have never had a problem with them. I used mine for Pushing jigs/cranks.
I had experiences with a couple of other brands (in other boats). They were mostly the brands with V or U shaped rests, and I found myself poking my hand/wrist on the V/U rest prongs when I had to quickly grab the rod out of the holder. With the Hi-tek setups, there are no "prongs" to deal with ... which is why I went with them in the first place and why I've never changed them out.

I use the Milennium holders because of their height adjustments. Check out the Bro-Craft rod storage units. I love mine.

    Default Rod holder styles?

Have not owned, but used to fish with a buddy that had hi-tek.
If I was serious about spider rigging I believe thats what I’d go with. Loved them for spider rigging. As it is, I don’t do that much anymore. Have millenium that I longline with, pulling jigs out the back. Still have attwoods down the sides for crankbaits. And driftmaster rod carriers. Had to add a third one so can leave long rods assembled. Fourteen footers really flopped around on the highway with just two. The back two I made detachable brackets that go into the attwood gear lock base, can unpin them and take out while I’m fishing.

I use the Millenniums for adjustability. I actually own 4, although I really use only 2 at a time, although I did have all 4 installed at once. Two are set up for the bow for spider rigging while the 2 on the stern are raised up and setup for longline/crankbait pulling. If for some reason that I have only 2 sets installed, it isn't a problem to adjust them to the other setup should I need to change my method and fishing style.
If I'm not at work or taking kids to their activities, you might find me on "The Rez" fishing. If not there, I could be in the garage working on my boat.

Widow makers for me. I own a pair of 4 pole Milleniums as well. I like the singles, with aggressive bites the entire rack shakes with the 4 holders. Plus the adjustability of the widow maker's are 2nd to none. I will warn the tite loks needs some minor modifications once you get them though.
