Thread: Kayak Trip Report, Flint River

I fished Flint River putting in at Hobbs Island and fishing upstream Saturday. The water was 70 degrees at daylight with visibility of about a foot. I only managed 8 Crappie the size I like to keep, returning several larger fish. Gills were everywhere but all small. The Channelcat seemed to be anywhere there was a little shade in 12 to 18 inches of water on the bank. I kept 4, returned 6 and had two break off. Not a great day of catching, but beautiful day on the river.
