    Default September Sunnies

I left the bass alone for a day and broke out the ultralights on a cooler, cloudy morning with a few showers mixed in. Took pics of the first three fish caught on a 1/48 duck jig tipped with a wax worm fished under a weighted float. Water levels are really low even for this time of year. Had to fish 15" deep instead of 2' or I'd be dragging bottom. Not a fast day catching but did stick 20-25 gills.Name: IMG_6450.jpg

Nice gills . That shellcracker looks a little mixed in the last picture. Pretty colors.

I'm looking forward to some September trips myself. Keep 'em coming!

This time of year I like fishing those cloudy days and a few showers don't hurt. Water in these shallow lakes are getting cooler, certainly more comfortable for the fish. Not that long ago fish felt warm to the touch.

Good fish from a good trip Jim. Haven’t been in a little while, hope to see some of those myself one day soon.
