HA !! Been so long since I wentI'm not sure I remember how. 90+* temps has kept me off the water during the day, and a messed up sleep schedule has kept me off the water at night. Now, for the last few weeks, my back has been giving me trouble, so I can't even consider going during these more pleasant temps. I will miss opening day of Dove season. But I am hopeful that I'll get my problems taken care of by mid Oct, when me & the gang are planning a long weekend trip down to Green.
I haven't been as much this year as the wife had surgery this spring. I'm catching good numbers but not good size. I am glad the heat has given us a little break.
I had a buddy tell me he caught a pretty nice limit on Green Thursday.
Haven't been in several weeks. The cooler weather is a welcome sign. Hope to get back out there after Labor Day.
Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a retirement plan...FISHING!
Really testing to see if I could post a picture without the app. Haven’t fished much this summer but slipped out and caught a limit on Barkley last weekend.

I culled thru 47 crappie Monday at Green River in order to keep a nice limit. Everything I kept was 10 in. or over with the biggest one pushing 12 inches. Fish were found in 21-22 feet of water right on the bottom When they bit, they bit with a lot of enthusiasm. Sorry I didn't make any pics. I was actually just finishing cleaning them when I thought about a picture. I had planned to fish Tuesday, but the rain cut me short. If you are looking for a place at GR to stay, check out the Green River cottages in Campbellsville. They are extremely clean, first class cottages at a really good price. (No, I'm not getting anything for telling you about them. Believe me, the cottages are worth sharing about. (ALL FISH WERE CAUGHT ON MINNOWS!)
