I'm overwhelmed with the selection out there... but blade replacement would be important to me... do they sharpen easily? I'm new to the market for one

I could not find any replacement blades for sale online. American Angler doesn't even have a customer service phone number. I emailed the company and received a reply indicating they have no plans to restock replacement blades. Ive been using this fillet knife for a number of years. With absolutely crappy customer service, I'm forced to find another brand of electric knife that carries the 7 or 8inch thin blade I prefer for filleting crappie.

The new rapala is nice and shark blades are available. Battery stands up well to get through a couple limits easy.![]()
Not sure about any others, but I had a Bubba Blade for a couple of years, and just recently, got a Rapala R12 Heavy Duty (lithium/cordless). The Rapala is much better in my opinion. It seems to be faster, goes through the fish with less effort, and I think the battery also lasts longer. You get two blades with it...a 6" and a 7 1/2".
Think he is looking for the shark blades. I've been told the rapala blades fit the American angler.
not shark blades, but Mr Twister blades fit my American Angler just fine. It's my back up knife to my Bubba
